Fight to obtain YOUR Goal

Philipians 3:14 "I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ
Jesus." nasb

1st Timothy " Fight the good fight of faith; take hold of the eternal life to which you were called, and you made the good confession in the presence of many witnesses." nasb

Goal: Somthing we strive for; a mark set in front of us we try to obtain; a prize of hard work we have or strive to obtain.

How do WE Fight to Obtain OUR Goal?

There are three main ways that we need to look at for Obtaining the Goals we have and the Goals that God has set forth before us. I hope that thru this will help us be able to not only see what our Goals are but how God has commisioned us to go and put these Goals into practice.

1. Fight the Fight
2. Fight to Obtain
3. Fight by Pressing toward the Goal

Fight the Fight: Before we set out to "Fight the Fight" we must have FAITH. You know athletes of kinds, no mater if professional or not, have faith that they are the best when the enter the stadium,court,ring or any other event they are involved in. Faith is what makes them work as hard as they do to be the BEST in their field of expertise. But wait what is FAITH? Heb 11 says that "faith is the substance of things hoped for but the evidence of things not seen." So Faith is believeing in what your goal is. The "Fight" that we as Christians are to be engaged in is the race to the end goal of living eternally with Jesus in Heaven. In a sence we are running a race in OUR Christian walk or Our Christian Life. The Good Fight in this passage deals directly with OUR FAITH. I find it so awesome yet amazing how Faith keeps popping into play and into every realm of our daily walk. But why must we exercise our faith? Because if we don't have faith we can't see the end result of the evidence of the things we have going on around us everyday. The thing that we as Christians don't even realize that we have have won the race or the fight but we have to keep striving on to the goal. I think back to world war 2 and look at how Americans were brought into the War and the Choice we had. We could just set back and take the blow from the enemy and think we were defeated right of the bat, but we had a leader that knew if we attacked our enemy back and kept the FAITH to be able to reach the end goal of total victory then we as Americans would have fought the good fight. We as Christians need to look at OUR end Goal of total victory. What is the Victory we have? When our enemy attacks us we have the Faith to move foward and defeat our enemy, but we must keep pressing on keep striving, keep fighting keep, keep proclaming. Remember that we don't have to trophy cup in hand just yet, but remember that God is waiting at the finish line to hand it to you.

Fight to Obtain: You may be asking yourselves" How do i do this?" or "what does that mean?" The is only one answer for both questions. There is no if's, ands, or buts, about it. Jesus made it real simple to understand. Seek the Face of God, get on your knees and FIGHT LIKE A MAN. We must enter into the Throne Room Boldly and let the Holy Spirit guide you. The complete and whole meaning og this statement is PRAYER, PRAYER, PRAYER. We have to go in to our prayer closet and earnestly pray to be a fighter to obtain the goal. We must realize that until we do this we wont be able to fight the fight like we need to. Everytime Satan comes aginst you your sheild of FAITH must be strong and ready to defend the attack, if you are weak you will not be able to Fight to Obtain.

Fight by Pressing toward the Goal: We have already established that we must fight by faith and it takes prayer to obtain, but we must also press on toward the goal or the prize set before us. God gave Abraham a specific goal to obtain, The Promised Land. God like wise gave us a specific goal to obtain or to press on for. God and I alone are the only ones that know if I personally have reached my goal specific prize same with you God and you alone know this. No one knows also but you and God if you are striving or pressing on toward the goal of eternity with Jesus. Only when we believe or putting in in other words, have faith, cnd we press on toward the final mark that GOd has set before us. We also need to remember that Romans 3:23 says " for all have SINNED and fallen short of the Glory of GOD." Remember that it is thru our striving or pressing onward in the evidence of what can't be seen that we will see the complete Glory of God and all that is to be ours for rewards. This has amazed me as I read and studied how Fighting the Fight works in circles. We Fight by Faith, God shows us his Glory, We obtain Faith, God shows us His Glory, We reach the final mark and Go d shows us His Glory. I think of a event that happened very recently to a friend of mine. His mother was life flighted to a hospital in Springfield, MO. with a anureysim in her brain. Now the thing that hits me so amazingly is that first off you usually don't survive, second is that this a very strong christian Lady and has fought the fight and has seen the Glory in Her life. The Miricle that God has given Her is far reaching and can be used as a tool to show others how striving for a Goal as a Christian can be obtained thru Her and Her Families Faith that GOD is still in control and GOD is still on the Throne and The Glory of God can be obtained by Faith. We all have the circle of Gods Glory surrounding us everyday and when we press on and put our Faith and trust in Jesus we CAN NOT FAIL.

OLD CARS

Well we had an eventfull day yesterday, we went to look at a 1984 Chevy Truck in Centerton and the poor guy selling it had a hard time getting it started. He did finally get it started as it haad been sitting for about 2 or 3 weeks and not ran. We were looking at this for a truck for Tyler since the ford Ranger we bought we have yet to recieve the title. The delima we had for the day was thatt we had to take Sara the Bulldog to the Bulldog vet in Fayetteville and didnt want to take 2 vehicles down there. We decided to leave the new truck in Springdale and just come back thru to get it. Well we picked up the truck and Tyler had to be to work by four so he and Andrea headed to Siloam Springs ( He drives like a little old lady) braums and then we headed home leaving Him with his truck. Tyler got off work at midnight and headed home to only find out that no gas in tank is not the way to go. The truck does have two tanks and he was able to switch tanks and get it going again.

Well we are sitting here eatting warm brownies and cold glass of milk. Abbie made brownies after supper. She was making the brownies and realized that we had no oil because I had put the rest of it on Sara's food, ooooops, so we had to go to corner quickie mart and pay 2.00 for small thing of oil. Well I flunked my HAZ-MAT test two days in a row, I stink at this test but at least in Oklahoma you dont pay untill you pass. We are going in the morning to look at a 1984 chevy pick up for Tyler, He gets to make the payments and pay the insurance. Will post pics if we buy it.

Snoreing and Farting LOL

As Sara lays on Her plush rug I reallize how loud she snores and I keep having to turn up the TV and she gets louder when I do. Also she has a the ability to make my eyes water with he rancid farts, nasty stinking dog LOL. I guess she wont be eating brown beans anytime soon. She will be heading out on truck with me on Thursday morn, we will see how that goes.

New Addition to Family

Well here it is Tuesday morn and we have a new addition to the family. We have addopted a little girl named Sara, she will be 5 Nov. 30. She is quite cute and adorable, She has great big brown eyes, sweet smile and pudgy little cheeks. Ok its a English Bulldog, she will be riding on the truck with me most of the time. We do have plans to breed her and already have found the male bulldog named Herman to fulfill the dreams. Sara is brown, red and white with black mask. I have never heard any animal grunt and snore more than Sara does. I will try to figure out how to post some pics, when I post again.

Family Vacation

Well we just returned from our 2008 family vacation. We took a cruise to Grand Caymen and Cozumel. As most know Andrea and I usually fly to Cozumel but this year we opted to take the kids also, but we could not afford plane tickets for 5, so we did the cruise thing. I had just drove about 13000 miles the last two weeks and then got into a van and drove to Tampa to get on a floating city. We left Tampa, FL on November 8 and returned the following Thursday. We followed the hurricane to Grand Caymen and when we got there the port was still closed so not to much to do there, we did get to go to beach and swim but that was it there. We went to Cozumel from Caymen and got off boat took a cab to our friends at Papa Hogs Dive Shop and had a private boat waiting on us to spend day of diving. Mike and Margaret, Owners of Papa Hogs, are just the best. We always feel like we are comming home when we get to cozumel and see all of our friends there. Shrek(Donny) is now our new dive master and He did an awesome job. We got back from our dives to a plate of french fries and cokea light(diet coke) mmmmmm n mmmmm good hit the spot. We visited with Margaret and Mike for a bit catching up on old friends and news about others and things going there on the island. We did take the kids downtown Cozumel for some of the culture that we love so much, Fat Tuesday Grill and let Abbie get Her hair corn rolled. I will post some pics later. Well its getting late here so gonna go for now, will post more later.
